Drake Bay sits on the remote Osa Peninsula, one of the most biodiverse regions on Earth and home to Corcovado National Park — described by National Geographic as the most biologically intense place on the planet. A private charter from San José to Drake Bay takes approximately 50–60 minutes. By land and boat, the same journey takes 6–8 hours. Drake Bay has a small airstrip that accommodates light aircraft. Aerocaribe can fly you directly, giving you more time for guided rainforest hikes, dolphin watching, snorkeling in pristine waters, and whale watching (humpback whales visit the Osa Peninsula twice a year, July–November and December–April).
